What is the LWLS general approach in helping clients lose weight?

The LWLS approach is straightforward: We address mindset, lifestyle, nutrition and movement HABITS. We eliminate the habits preventing weight loss and implement ones that promote it. This approach aims to manage your weight problem's behavioral root cause(s). 

Although this is a straightforward plan, it will be very effective in helping you reach your goals. It focuses on reversing the lifestyle habits and mindsets that lead to weight gain. Once we do this, the new fat-burning, health-promoting habits, and attitudes will take over. Switching these will naturally cause you to lose weight (and KEEP it off). We will work on the exercise plan based on your specific weight loss goals. The nutrition plan will keep with any parameters given by your healthcare provider.

How quickly can I lose weight with LWLS?

Since the goal is to lose the weight and keep it off, all the coaching programs have the long game in mind – not quick fixes. We don’t gain weight quickly, so we don’t lose it quickly. If we do, it will come back????. We have all seen people who have lost lots of weight, only to gain it back because the plan was not sustainable. This will not happen with LWLS.

How much weight could I expect to lose per month?

On average, you could expect to lose about 1-2  pounds per week. Generally, the more weight you need to lose, the faster you will lose is initially. This would work out to about 4-8 pounds per month.

What is the first step in working with LWLS?

The system will only work if you are coachable. So first step is to download "The Best Way to Start Losing Weight" and take those steps right away. Making this effort will tell us if you are serious about making changes in your life in this area.

Do the LWLS programs come with specific diet plans?

No. For legal reasons, specific dietary advice for that would have to come from your health care provider or a registered dietician. The guidance that the LWLS system provides fall within the parameters they set, fine-tuning execution of meal planning strategies.

There are other weight loss plans that bring faster results. Why should I choose LWLS?

One of the main causes of weight gain is refusing to delay gratification. If you are looking for fast results, you should NOT use this program. LWLS is not for results that are fast but for results that last. If you lose weight quickly, you have not gotten to the root cause of your weight problem. As soon as you hit a stressful period in your life, all the old bad habits you had that caused you to gain weight will return. Then you will be back where you started, but with less money because of the cash, you spent on the program that dropped the quick weight.

"The Why"

In 1997, during his last year serving in the United States Marine Corps, Thomas started his fitness training journey at a 24-Hour Fitness in San Diego, California. Then, after taking a detour for almost ten years by working in the medical device field as a technician then systems test engineer, he returned to his first love of fitness training by starting Higher Level Training Corp in 2006. During both stints in training clients, Thomas found the same problem was preventing them from attaining their health and fitness goals. They would train with him for about 3 hours per week. But the lifestyle they maintained for the other 165 hours of the week would not support the results they wanted. So to help people gain lasting results, he stopped doing personal training exclusively. He shifted and started coaching people on their spiritual life, performance mindset tools, life planning & strategizing, and lifestyle habits that SUPPORT weight loss. So in 2020, after decades of experience in fitness, Lifestyle Weight Loss Systems (LWLS) was born to focus exclusively on weight loss by helping people lose weight by making small, incremental changes to their daily routines, not by using special diet plans or exercise programs.
